Day 3: 03-05-08

Jiufen
e 3rd day we set off early as we are gg further out of Taipei city to Jiufen.. it's in Keelung city.. we took 基隆客运 aka bus from 忠孝复兴站 all e way to 金瓜石.. e journey was quite long.. tink took an hr? btw there r many bus services in taiwan unlike sg only sbs n trans island.. hence there are many names such as 新竹客运.. 台北客运.... yep.. anw 金瓜石 is e last stop n it's high up on e mountain.. e bus drivers there r super zai at making turns on such narrow mountain roads n dey drive at quite a fast speed! summore there r oncoming vehicles lor excitin man.. haha.. anw there wasnt anything much at 金瓜石 jus scenary.. so juz took some mountain top pics and we took bus back to probably e 山腰 to Jiufen..

Jiufen was interesting! it's lk e olden days market street.. v 古早气息.. it's a narrow alley that turn and wind around which leads u to unknown exits haha.. there r some staircases and up-slopes here n there.. n there r many many shops along this narrow alley.. some r 精品店.. saw many stalls selling 芋圆or 粉圆 (yam balls).. we took lotsa pics there hurhur..



we then settled our lunch at a shop tt sells a variety of balls haha.. 鱼丸, 鲨鱼丸, 贡丸, 雪鱼丸... tink there's still more cant recall le.. e shop was patronised by many taiwan artistes as the lao ban niang put up all e pics she took w e artiste la haha.. indeed it was nt bad! e soup no msg de.. then we went to other small stalls n had many light snacks.. there's this special potato chips chuan4 on satay stick which come in different flavours.. curry, seaweed... u pick ur choice.. da bought e curry one.. we aso bought cuttlefish.. grilled taiwan sausage.. pearl milk tea.. it's all delicious!!



Keelung
around 4 plus we left for Keelung.. n we took bus agn to 下山.. haha at keelung we went to Miaokou night market n had 芒果冰!! Mango cubes on crushed icE haha.. e serving was big n e mango was fresh!! den so farnie there were 2 stalls selling mango ice which r side by side.. e lao ban niangs were v mai4 li4 to la1 ke4.. aso dunno which stall is nicer.. but still e one we had was nice.. eating e mango ice under e warm weather was shiok.. plus e condense milk 淋 over e ice.. slurpss.. but e crushed ice was too much la couldnt finish haha



aft tt we took 火车 back to Taipei.. was pretty tired n dozed off on train.. haha we den went to a shopping centre 欣欣百货 near our hotel n had Subway for dinner.. e subway wasnt tt nice.. haha.. in e end we bought mo si han bao agn for supper!! haha
